Nobert C. Brotz, 71, of St. Paul, MN formerly of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May
14, 2022. He was born September 6, 1950, in Sheboygan to the late Norbert K. and Georgene (Mueller)
Brotz. Norbert attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from North High School with the Class
of 1968. Norbert went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin with a Chemical Engineering
Degree. In 1974 he was united in marriage to Deborah Mac Allister, together they raised two children
Norbert (Caryn) of Circle Pines. MN and Nicholas of St. Paul, MN.
Having a strong faith Norbert was a member of The Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul, MN, and a former
member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Norbert worked as a system analyst for over 25 years before retiring. He was known as the “capable
tinker” at home. He loved building and fixing things, especially computers and cars while listening to
60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock music. He also enjoyed his daily fresh popcorn. Norbert was also a veracious
reader and exercised every day. He loved his daily walks around Lake Como with his best friend and
wife of 48 years Deborah. He cherished that time and the many great conversations they had.
Norbert was a wonderful husband and father, always willing to help his family when they needed him.
He is dearly loved by them and will be missed more then he could ever imagine.
He is further survived by his five brothers; Stephen (Debbie), Phillip (Lisa), David (Mary Lou), Brian
(Mary) and Vincent, three sisters; Karen (Ron), Christine (Tom), and Sharon, also by many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph, and
sister Cheryl.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral
& Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8 th St. Sheboygan. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the
time of service at the FUNERAL HOME. If you are unable to join the family for the service, it will be
livestreamed on Norbert’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in Norbert’s name.
