The State of Wisconsin has given over $12 thousand to the City of Sheboygan Falls to assist in the transfer of its City Court to the Mid-Moraine Municipal Court based in West Bend. The court handles traffic and ordinance citations, and comes as the Sheboygan Falls Court is scheduled for abolishment.
$12,212.00 was awarded on Friday as part of a total $14.5 million distribution from the Innovation Grant Program which supports local governments and tribal nations in transferring certain services and duties to another eligible entity.
Over $220 million remains in the state fund, which the Department of Revenue intends to distribute through a second round of applications this fall.
