William J. (Bill) Pietenpol, age 94, of Sheboygan Falls went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Green Bay.
He was born in Gibbsville, WI on August 8, 1931, to the late Truman and Jeanette (Lemkuil) Pietenpol. He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1949. On September 13, 1952, William was united in marriage with Barbara TeSelle at Sheboygan Falls Methodist Church. Barb preceded him in death on September 25, 2014. Bill was employed at Kohler Company for 44 years, retiring in 1994.
Bill was an active member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, serving as a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was also a Big Brother within the Big Brothers & Big Sisters program in Sheboygan, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and provided transportation for those who needed it.
William enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Barbara and friends. He and Barbara went through a square-dancing phase where they met many lifelong friends. In retirement, they also spent many years traveling to Florida and Texas wintering in their RV. For over 50 years, as long as his health allowed it, he walked 2-3 miles every day. Above all, he treasured the memories made with his family and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, David (Diane) Pietenpol, Richard (Diann) Pietenpol, Catherine Thiessen, and Robert (Lorre) Pietenpol; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne Stutsman and Mary Ann Otte and his special friend, Arlene Maxey; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Along with his parents and wife Barbara, Bill preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Preder and Ruth Martinez.
A Memorial Service for Bill will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at First Reformed Church, 527 Giddings Ave., in Sheboygan Falls, with Rev. Brad Veenendaal officiating. Family will greet visitors on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. William will be laid to rest at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name can be made to First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls.
