Daniel E. “Dan” Lensink, 79, of Kohler passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Aurora
Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1942, in Oostburg to the late
Wilfred and Laura (Ver Gowe) Lensink. Dan graduated from Oostburg High School with the
Class of 1961. He went on to receive his degree as an HVAC Technician.
In 1963 he was united in marriage to Linda Ludens. On May 23, 1986, he was united in
marriage to Lana Matzdorf at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler.
Dan worked for RP Honold, Aldag- Honold, and HVAC Services retiring in 2005. After his
retirement he enjoyed working for the Village of Kohler and Johnston’s Bakery.
Dan loved the outdoors, boating, fishing, and bonfires with the neighbors. Family was the most
important thing in Dan’s life. He loved spending time with them in Shawano and Christmases in
Cecil. He looked forward to the yearly tradition of driving through Making Spirits Bright with his
grandkids. Dan was always up to anything that involved his children and grandchildren.
Creating those lasting memories with them is what he enjoyed most.
Dan had an amazing sense of humor, always had a joke or story to tell, and before he left
anywhere, he went on his “Goodbye Tour”.
Dan enjoyed going to the different coffee shops around town, in fact that was where he met
the love of his life Lana, while she was working at BJ’s Coffee Shop.
Dan is survived by his wife Lana, children; Lisa (Jack) Haartman, Dan (Karla) Lensink, Michelle
(Tim) Renzelmann, Tracy Schlenther, Todd (Janel) Schlenther, Chad (Mary) Lensink, and Jeff

nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers.
