Jillene “Jill” Helmke, of Plymouth, WI, finished her earthly life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 with her loved ones by
her side.
Jill was born in Plymouth, WI, on February 14, 1933. She was the daughter of Raymond and MaeBelle (Muth)
Holfeltz. She attended Plymouth Grade School and Plymouth High School, graduating with the class of 1951. She
graduated from the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, MN in 1952. She worked as a
laboratory technician at St. Nicholas Hospital, Plymouth Hospital, and the Plymouth Clinic.
On December 26, 1953, she married James Helmke at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Jim and Jill were blessed with three sons and one daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Son, Mark (Carol) Helmke of Lancaster, WI and their family, David
(Tiffany) Helmke and children Adaline and Jack of Lancaster, WI, and Nicole (Nicholas Turner) Helmke of
Hillsborough, NC and their daughter Ava; Son, Michael (Ann) Helmke of Sheboygan, WI and his children Amber
(Ryan Lehmann) Helmke and her children Landyn and Jacob of Sheboygan, WI, and Christopher Helmke of
Madison, WI; Son, James (Mari) Helmke of Watertown, WI and their family, Steven (Anne Dahlia) Helmke and his
children Andrew, Alexander and Anthony of Watertown, WI, Stacy (Matthew) Brault of Denmark, WI, and
Christopher (Christine) DeBus of Cheswick, PA and his daughters Jaeden and Kamryn of Albia, IA; Son-in-law,
Douglas Allds of Pardeeville, WI and his daughter, Breanna (Ryan Dziubla) and their children Abigail and Caleb of
Deforest, WI; Brothers-in-law, William (Laurie) Helmke of Plymouth, WI, and David Hartman of Plymouth, WI;
Sisters-in-law, Connie Holfeltz of West Bend, WI, and Barbara Helmke of Denver, CO. She is also survived by loved
ones: Patricia Holfeltz of West Bend, WI, Dana DeBus of Albia, IA, beloved nieces and nephews and many dear
friends.
Jill is now united with her daughter, Kim Marie Allds, her parents, brother, John, her father and mother in–law,
Walter and Mathilda Helmke, brothers-in-law, John and Robert Helmke, sister-in-law, Bonnie Hartman and her
God-son, Jay Holfeltz.
Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church, will officiate and inurnment will be in St. John
the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed on
www.sjbplymouth.org/Parish.
Visitation will be held at CHURCH on Tuesday (Jan. 18) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jill’s name.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Aurora-At-Home Hospice for their kind, compassionate, and attentive
service given to Jill and their family.
