Christine (Curtis) Nett passed away on June 13, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.
Chris was born on December 17, 1949, in Dubuque, IA to Alvin J. and Lillian C. Curtis in Dubuque IA, as no maternity ward was available in Platteville WI. Chris lived in Wisconsin (Platteville, Dodgeville, Gays Mills, and Oshkosh), Illinois, and Colorado during childhood.
Chris graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1968 and UW-Oshkosh in 1972 with a BBA in Accounting.
Chris married her husband of 53 years, Michael Nett, on November 11, 1972, and had 4 children. She enjoyed her role as a full time Mom, being actively involved in their children’s lives, attending their many activities, helping with crafts, and baking after-school treats. Her children include Dr. Kelly Nett (Chema) Cordero, Dr. Jeniel Nett (Dr. John Williams), Darcey Nett (Nate Rusch), and Ryan (Stephanie) Nett. Chris’s grandchildren include Lennox, Sloane, Santiago, Madeline, John, Jacqueline, Anna, Camelia, Liliana, and Sofia.
Chris was in Band Parents at Sheboygan Falls High School for 13 years, enjoyed many crafts, and belonged to a S&B craft group for nearly 50 years. She began quilting, her favorite craft, in the 1970’s. She belonged to several quilt groups, sharing her skills and teaching numerous people new to quilting. She was incredibly generous with her quilts and her projects have reached many corners of the world. Chris also enjoyed playing Mexican Train Dominoes, quilting at Blessed Trinity Parish, and playing in a Scrabble Group. Chris’s part time work included Haysen Mfg., LTC Center Supervisor, and C&J Optics.
Chris is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and her brother Rob and his family. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steven, and sister-in law Sandra.
Funeral Services will be held at Blessed Trinity Parish on Friday, June 19, 2026—Visitation will be held 9:30 am to 11:00am with a Funeral Mass taking place at 11:00am. A private interment service will be held the day after the funeral.
