The paddleboard belonging to a person reported missing from Harrington Beach State Park in northern Ozaukee County Wednesday evening has washed up on a beach nearby in the Sheboygan County Township of Holland, however there’s still no sign of the owner.
The 49-year-old woman last seen wearing a white long-sleeved t-shirt, and black shorts with a white stripe over a green one-piece swimsuit, and also believed to be wearing a black lifejacket was reported missing around 8 p.m. Wednesday, prompting a search with the assistance of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office. Search and rescue efforts have expanded, and remain active and in progress as of 1:15 p.m. Thursday in both Ozaukee and Sheboygan Counties with the participation of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Port Washington Police Department, Ozaukee Emergency Management, Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team, Wisconsin DNR, US Coast Guard, Belgium Fire Department, Port Washington Fire Department, Oostburg Fire Department and the Cedar Grove Fire Department.
Any homeowners who reside along Lake Michigan between the City of Sheboygan and Port Washington are being requested to check their properties and shorelines for signs of the missing subject. If anyone has any information, they’re requested to contact the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office at 262-284-7172.
