Karen Louise (Fenske) Wrensch, born August 27, 1939 in Sheboygan to Roy and Evelyn (Whiffen) Fenske. She attended Mapledale School
and graduated from Central High School. On October 15, 1960 she was united in marriage to Francis D.
Wrensch. They celebrated 28 years of marriage until Francis passed away in 1988.
She was the assistant manager and the first to be hired at Burger King on Erie Ave when it opened. She
earned the beloved name of Grandma Whopper. She worked there until 1988 when she moved to
California, there she worked at Moreno Valley Self Storage, Running Deer Adult Living and in the
mailroom of Chuckawalla Valley State Prison.
She enjoyed volunteering her time to Wish Catchers Foundation and the General Patton Memorial
Museum. She returned to Sheboygan in 2010. Member of WOTM Moose Lodge (Sheboygan). She
enjoyed baking, reading, watching the Pioneer Women on T.V., gardening, fishing, watching the birds
build their nests and hatching outside her window. She liked to listen to Country and Western music and
Polkas. She was a big collector of cows. She especially enjoyed playing bingo and all the activities with
her friends at the Waterford. She enjoyed every moment with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her children; Dawn (Daniel) Rettagliata, Keith (Carla) and Kevin (Dawn) Wrensch, all
of Sheboygan; Grandchildren: Michael (Elizabeth) Baker, Tempe, AZ, Christopher (Samantha) Baker,
Moreno Valley, CA, Scott (Tanya) Wrensch, Jr., Manitowoc, Nicole (Brad) Weber, Sheboygan, Brittany
(Austin) Wrensch, Sheboygan, Lindsay (Joe) Wrensch, Sheboygan, Larrissa (Kyle) Wrensch, Sheboygan,
Brett Osier, Moreno Valley, CA, Sebrina (Greg) Eden, United Kingdom. Great Grandchildren; Quinton,
Joseph, Catalina, Emma and Francis Baker, Aiden, Easton, Deklan and Brxtn Baker, Lilly, Phoenix, and
Finley Wrensch, Ryder and Jamison Weber, Alex Eden, Brother; Robert (Barbara) Fenske, Sr., Sister-in-
Law; Donna Fenske, Brother- in- Law; Doug (Pat) Wrensch. She is further survived by many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis, Son; Scott, Brother; Roy Fenske, Jr., Granddaughter;
Haley Haen, Nephew; Todd Fenske, Parents; Roy & Evelyn Fenske, Sr., In Laws; Walter & Pearl Wrensch
and her brother and sisters in law.
A public visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at
Zimmer-Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan. A Celebration of
Karen’s life will be held this summer.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Waterford in Plymouth, Sharon S. Richardson Hospice,
Aurora Medical Center and all her caregivers throughout the years. Your kindness and love for Mom will
