MADISON, WI (WSAU) One of the girls convicted in the Slender Man stabbing case is appealing her sentence to the state Supreme Court.
Morgan Geyser argues that her case should have been heard in juvenile, not adult, court. A lower court ruled against her and upheld her sentence — up to 40 years in a state psychiatric hospital. Geyser can apply for supervised release based on how her treatment progresses.

Geyser, and classman Anissa Weier, were 12 years old when the lured a classmate into the woods in Waukesha and stabbed her to pay homage to the fictional character Slender Man.
Weier reached a more lenient plea bargain, and was also sentenced to time in a state psychiatric hospital will supervised release privileges with family members.
