Dewaine A. “Mickey” Mueller, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away on June 28, 2026 at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan. Dewaine was born to the late Alvin and Vera (Selander) Mueller on May 30, 1932 in Edgar, Wisconsin. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1951 and worked at the Vollrath Company for 43 years before he retired. Dewaine was united in marriage to LaMae “Mazie” McCarty on November 26, 1955 in Sheboygan. After high school, he played football for the Sheboygan Redwings. He enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers and spent a lifetime vacationing in northern Wisconsin. Dewaine loved spending time up in St. Germain where he cultivated rich relationships with family and friends over his lifetime. They had many family gatherings, celebrations, jokes, laughs, fishing stories and competitions along the way. He loved muskie fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards and softball and most of all he loved his family.
Dewaine is survived by his children, Rick Mueller, Sid (Maureen) Mueller and Valerie Mueller; grandchildren, Alexandra and Victoria; granddog, Macy and siblings, Maxine Maurer, Jerry Mueller, Roy (Barb) Mueller and Ron (Kathy) Mueller.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaMae, Don and Ginny Mueller, Sally Mueller, Jack Maurer, Jim and Janice McCarty, and Jerome McCarty.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association in Dewaine’s name.
