An incursion of arctic air was poised to invade much of the US – including the Sheboygan area – from Canada following a series of snow events that put down anywhere from 4” to a half foot of snow across Sheboygan County. Combined with a Wednesday night storm, the snow cover in Sheboygan County is now likely to be anywhere from 6 to 12 inches.
Any remaining snow showers will be of little impact, especially when weighed against the threat posed by severe cold conditions expected for the first half of this week.

NWS Graphic
An arctic airmass moving in tonight will produce wind chills of between 15 and 25 degrees below zero into Monday morning, and a Cold Weather Advisory was issued to be in effect between midnight and 11 a.m. Monday. The expected conditions are capable of causing frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Similar, if not even more severe conditions, are expected again on Tuesday morning, with slow relief beginning afterwards. Actual temperatures aren’t likely to escape the single digits above zero until Wednesday when they’re expected to reach the teens, while actual nighttime lows in the depths of the cold could approach -10 on Tuesday morning.
