Victor J. Te Winkle, 88, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his home.
Victor was born on March 8, 1932 to the late Henry and Mildred (Daane) Te Winkle. Victor was born in
a house on County Trunk V in the Town of Lima. He went to Banner Grade School and then to Waldo
High School. He played basketball and baseball earning a Letter. In 1950 he moved to Plymouth.
Victor proudly served his country 13 years in the United States Army as a member of the 32 nd Red Air
Division of the WI National Guard and the 127 th Infantry during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. He was honorably
discharged on May 15, 1963. Victor worked at Plastics Engineering Company in the Maintenance
Department for 46 years, retiring on February 22, 1997. Victor had a green thumb and enjoyed
gardening along with woodworking and welding. He cherished his family as they were a very important
part of his life.
On January 23, 1954 Victor married Carol Frank. Victor and Carol were blessed with one son, Randall
and two daughters, Sandra and Candice.
Victor, who had a strong faith and belief in God, was a member for 72 years at Salem United Church of
Christ in Plymouth.
Victor is survived by his two daughters, Sandra (Kevin) Francis of Oshkosh and Candice (Thomas) Russo
of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren, James Te Winkle, William (Nicole) Te Winkle, Lydia (William) Phelps,
Jenna Te Winkle, Sarah (Ben) Hayes, Paul Pointer, Laura Pointer, Jaden Francis, Matthew Russo and
Christopher (Katie) Russo; three great grandchildren, Annabelle Te Winkle, Flora Te Winkle and Leo
Hayes and his special friend Narda Mae Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and
Mildred, his wife, Carol, his son, Randall and his sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Harvey Utecht
A private family service for Victor will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 at Salem United Church of Christ
with Rev. James Hoppert officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery with military rites
accorded. Friends wishing to view the service may join on the Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes
Facebook page beginning at 12:45 PM.
A memorial fund has been established in honor of Victor for Salem United Church of Christ.
Victor’s family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to St. Nicholas Home Health and
Hospice, especially Jessica and Brenda for the care, comfort and compassion shown to Victor and his
family.
