Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce has given Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu of Oostburg its Champion of Free Enterprise Award in recognition of “ his leadership and steadfast commitment to advancing pro-growth policies that strengthen Wisconsin’s economy and enhance the state’s business climate.”
Senator LeMahieu was noted for his more than a decade as a consistent champion for Wisconsin’s employers, manufacturers, and job creators by WMC President and CEO Kurt Bauer, who said that “His leadership has helped advance policies that encourage investment, support workforce development, and ensure Wisconsin remains competitive for businesses of all sizes.”
Senator LeMahieu has represented Wisconsin’s 9th District in the State Senate since 2014, and announced his intentions to return to private life earlier this year, prompting Bauer to add that “His commitment to free enterprise, economic opportunity, and public service will be missed. We congratulate him on a job well done and wish him the best in retirement.”
