Details are scarce, but the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office has reported responding to reports of a gunshot incident at the Hilbert Acres Mobile Home Community on Christmas night.
Deputies went to that residence shortly after 9:00 Sunday night where a 25-year-old woman had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. A man was interviewed in connection to the incident, and is cooperating with investigators.
The Sheriff said that there have been no arrests in connection to the incident and there is no danger to the community. Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 920-849-2335.
