As work progresses on Wisconsin DOT construction in Sheboygan County, there are a few key things to know about operations this week, including some critical ramp closures.
All southbound and northbound I-43 collector, distributor and associated ramps connecting to eastbound and westbound Highway 23 will be closed overnights between 8 PM and 6 AM all this week.
The contractor will conduct rumble strip, shouldering, guardrail, and pavement marking operations on all lanes of I-43 between Highways 42 and 28 daily through Thursday this week between 8 AM and 3 PM – watch for various lane closures during that operation. You’ll also encounter crews working on sign structures along eastbound and westbound Highway 23 between Taylor Drive and I-43, with signage directing traffic.
Meanwhile, Highway 28 reconstruction is nearing completion, with a concrete driveway to be poured this week along with various finishing items. That road remains open with possible flagging operations for the remainder of the work.
