A likely winter storm has City of Sheboygan agencies asking the public to begin observing winter parking rules early. Those rules request parking on the odd side of the street preceding midnight beginning an odd-numbered day, and likewise even numbers preceding an even-numbered day.
With the expectation of significant snow accumulations on Saturday, the Sheboygan Police Department is asking that people practice all-day alternate side parking from at 7 AM Saturday through the duration of the snow event. This means parking on the odd side of the street on Saturday, and the even side beginning at midnight on Sunday. If your street has been completely cleared of snow on the opposite side, then it’s time to move your vehicle.
And as a reminder, winter parking rules…the ones that come with penalties for violations…officially go into effect on Monday at Midnight.
