Marlene Ann Lensmire, age 85, of Plymouth, passed away on Thursday morning (November 30, 2023) at
her home surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene was born on June 15, 1938 in Plymouth, WI, a daughter of the late Edgar and Elouise (Peters) Wiehr.
She attended area grade schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956. In 1957 she married Harry
Aderman with whom she had 3 sons. On December 14, 1985 she married Roger J. Lensmire at Trinity United
Methodist Church in Waldo.
Marlene worked at Leys Department Store in Plymouth for several years and then at GTE for 14 years
retiring in 1996. She was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth.
She enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, gardening, playing Euchre with friends and canning (helping other
people and family learn how to can) and making preserves, and was always asked the questions by her
family, “Did you make any jerky at the house”?
Marlene collected many Blue Ribbons on her preserves at the Sheboygan County Fair and she was proud
to have taught her son how to make and can sauerkraut, tomatoes and pickles, but best of all – “Beef Jerky”.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Roger of Plymouth; Three sons: Gary (Mary) Aderman of
Sheboygan, Daniel (Laurie) Aderman of Plymouth and Lee (Jackie) Aderman, of Glenbeulah; Five
grandchildren and Five great grandchildren; Six step children: Patrick (Julie) Lensmire of Town of Mitchell,
Jeff (Debbie) Lensmire of Plymouth, Penny (Phil) Jones of Sheboygan, Pam (Andy) Lierman of Town of
Lyndon, Tracy(Jimmy) Grindel of Arizona and Terese Edwards (special friend: Rick Wehmeyer) of
Glenbeulah. Many Step grandchildren, Step great grandchildren and Great great grandchildren. Two
brothers: Willard (Sharon) Wiehr of Sheboygan and Larry (Barbara) Wiehr of State of Oregon. Two sisters:
Carol Miller of Plymouth and Margaret Halle of Plymouth; Two brothers-in-law: Dale (Rosie) Lensmire of
Plymouth and Tim Lensmire of the Town of Plymouth Sister-in-law: Judy Slattery of Dundee.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents; Son-in-law: Bruce Edwards, One Brother: Edward Wiehr,
Brothers-in-law: Matt and Gary Lensmire, Arvin Halle, Roy Miller, Jack Slattery and Don Galloway and
Sisters-in-law: June Galloway and Charlene Lensmire.
Following Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Friday
afternoon (December 8, 2023) at 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Pat Lensmire will
officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon (Dec. 8, 2023) at the Suchon Funeral Home from 2:00 P.m. until
the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marlene’s name.
