Regan John Schmitt, 67, of Cascade, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023. He was
born on January 1, 1956, in Athens, WI, to the late Bernard and Viola (Albrecht) Schmitt.
Regan attended and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1974, and worked as a skilled
craftsman at Advance Cast Stone for more than 20 years.
Regan loved fishing, ice fishing, riding his motorcycle, visiting his family’s cabin in Northern
Wisconsin, and spending time with his daughters and granddaughters.
He is survived by: His daughters: Katie Schmitt, Corrie (Christopher) Jape, and Emily (Damian)
Schmitt; Grandchildren: Mindy, Ella, and Abby; Brothers: Russell (Kathy), Raymond (Bernie),
Roger (significant other Caroline), Randy (Lori), and Robert (Sue) Schmitt; Stepsister, Susan
(Lawrence) Scheer; Stepbrother, Jon (Joanne) Lenz; and Step sister-in-law, Cindy Lenz. He is
also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Regan was preceded in death by: His daughter, Sarah Schmitt; Parents, Bernard and Viola
Schmitt; Stepfather, Robert Lenz; Stepbrother, Jim Lenz; and Stepsister, Sally Petro.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Suchon Funeral Home,
1317 WI-67, Plymouth, WI. Visitation will take place from 1:00-3:00pm, with a service to follow
at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Regan’s name.
