Among Sheboygan County’s several celebrations, Plymouth’s Holiday Parade is a crowd-pleaser that draws thousands from the City and beyond.
Large crowds are expected for the event set for 7 p.m. on Friday night, the route will run through Downtown Plymouth on East Mill Street from Caroline Street to North Street. Although covering less than a half a mile through Sheboygan County’s “Hub City”, the parade will have the full complement of floats and music, and some say Santa may make an appearance as well. Events wrap up with a Tree Lighting ceremony and Chili cook-off.
Parade organizers and participants will begin assembling at 5:30 p.m., and Plymouth Police are advising that beginning at 5:30 Friday afternoon there will be no parking on East Mill Street from North Street to Caroline Street, as well as on sections of North and Caroline Streets adjacent to the route. Anyone parked on those streets during those times will be trading a “ho-ho-ho” for a “tow” of their vehicle by city crews instead.
