A librarian from Mead Public Library in Sheboygan is being honored as an Early Learning Champion by PBS Wisconsin. The honor was given to Alison Loewen to recognize and celebrate her as a passionate educator who works with the nation’s youngest students, from infants to second graders.
PBS Wisconsin Associate Director for Education Engagement, Jen Kobylecky, said that Alison “…exemplifies the kindness and compassion we see modeled in so many of the wonderful PBS KIDS shows. She’s an inspiration to our team and to other librarians across Wisconsin. We’re delighted to welcome her into this role!”
PBS KIDS says that Alison Loewen was selected for her deep commitment to fostering joyful, creative, and playful learning opportunities in library programming.
