Several area businesses are among the sixteen selections moving forward in a contest to decide “The Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin.” Some 116 submissions were entered in the contest which began polling two weeks ago, and after some 60,000 votes were cast the top 16 vote-getters were announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Among local entries, Krier Foods of Random Lake holds the #6 Seed for its line of Jolly Good Soda. Also in the running is String Cheese from Cedar Valley of Belgium at the #10 seed, and Ammunition and Brass Casings from AMMO Inc., of Manitowoc received the #15 seed.
Next up is the first round of “Manufacturing Madness” which will consist of eight head-to-head matchups that will determine the Top 8 “Coolest Things Made in Wisconsin”. Voting for that selection begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28th, and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd. Manufacturers, consumers and the public are invited to vote daily in each of the matchups at www.madeinwis.com.
