The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s office is warning you not to fall victim to the latest scam. This latest one involves Sheboygan County residents getting phone calls telling people that they missed a court date, and then demanding that you post bond to avoid immediate arrest. The callers claim that they’re calling from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department – but they’re not.
The department wants to remind you that they only make contact in person and will not request money or bitcoin to be sent. If you receive a call like this, hang up and contact the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office directly at 920-459-3111.
