The Sheboygan Falls woman who strangled her son to death and tried to kill her other son will get a new plea hearing next month.
Natalia Hitchcock was arrested by Sheboygan Falls Police, who say she killed her 8 year old son and also tried to drown her 11 year old son last March. Her husband said he was worried about his wife’s mental state at the time of the incident. He told police that her mother lives in Russia, and the coverage of the war in Ukraine had gotten Hitchcock worked up, claiming that she was protecting her boys from people on the “Dark Web”.
Hitchcock initially entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Her attorneys have now had a chance to review her competency evaluation, and will be back in court to modify that plea on April 3rd. Hitchcock remains in custody on a million dollars cash bond.
