Harriet G. Jensen, a lifelong resident of Sheboygan, passed away on September 28, 2022 at the
Sheboygan Senior Community. She was 99 years old.
Born on July 1, 1923, Harriet was the youngest of four daughters born to Otto and Ella (Koehler) Sinn.
She attended U.S. Grant Elementary School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School with
the Class of 1941. In 1947 she married Arthur Jensen. They were married for 53 years before he
passed away in 2000.
Harriet was a gifted seamstress. After raising three sons and three daughters, she had a 20-year
career doing alterations at J.C. Penney, where she skillfully tailored men’s suits, and altered hundreds
of complicated wedding dresses.
For more than 75 years Harriet was a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where she
had many friends and enjoyed membership in the Rachel Circle and United Methodist Women.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Jensen, and her son Erik A. Jensen. She is
survived by two sons, Jack (Emily) Jensen of Austin, TX, and Lars (Molly) Jensen of Shanghai, China;
three daughters, Ann Jensen, Claire (David) Grohskopf of Sheboygan, and Edie (Carl) Mueller of
Sheboygan; and daughter-in-law Sharron Quasius of Sheboygan. She is further survived by 12
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Harriet's family offers heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for the
compassionate care, support and loving kindness shown to her over the years. Special thanks to Lora
and Nicole for being so attentive and always lifting her spirits.
A Memorial Service for Harriet will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at
Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8 th St. in Sheboygan, with retired Pastor
Henry Verfeurth officiating. Family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00
AM until the time of the service. Harriet’s service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on her

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Luke United Methodist Church or the Sheboygan
Senior Community where she resided since 2009.
