Cheese lovers are being challenged to put their appetites on the line for bragging rights. The contest is part of the annual Cheese Capital Festival on Saturday, June 27th at Stayer Park.
Sponsored by The Big Cheese, the challenge is to consume one pound of cheese within three minutes – the quickest to complete the challenge is crowned champion during the event which happens at 2:30, while 2nd and 3rd places also get prizes.
The contest is limited to 9 contestants, subject to a draw if more sign up. Registration takes place on-site, and word is that last year’s champion is defending the title once again.
