It is with heavy yet grateful hearts that the children of June Kathryn (Dobyns) Miller, aged 90, announce the occasion of her passing. June joined her husband, Ralph Edward Miller, in eternal rest during the morning hours of Friday, November 25, 2022. June was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 23, 1932, the first daughter of Evelyn (Schram) Dobyns and Alonzo Dobyns. At the start of World War II, June’s family relocated to Wisconsin, where her father took a job in the ship building industry to support the war effort. For the remainder of her life, June lived in Wisconsin. In June, 1951, June was united with Ralph in Holy Matrimony at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ (UCC) in Saukville, Wisconsin. From 1951 to 1967, they resided in Saukville while expanding their family. In 1967, June and Ralph, with their 5 children, moved north to Plymouth, Wisconsin. In 1984, they moved to the Town of Greenbush, where they resided until their respective deaths.
June’s life centered around her faith and her family. Her faith sustained and comforted her through the adversity and hardship that was ever present in her life. Her faith also taught her the virtues of compassion, kindness, self-sacrifice and love, which she gave freely and willingly to all who knew her. Her family remained her “life’s work”, as she described it, until the day of her passing. She was exceedingly proud of each of her 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, and was excited to meet the 2 great grandchildren that are expected to join the family in early 2023. Of the myriad of qualities that would describe June, her selflessness, humility, quiet determination and resolve are those for which she will most be remembered.
After marrying in St. Peter’s UCC, June and Ralph remained members until their move to Plymouth. For 45 years, June was a member of Salem UCC.
