Earl E. Schroeder, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022 at The Manor of Fond du Lac.
Born April 18, 1936, in Appleton, Earl was a son of the late Elmer and Ruth (Prasher) Schroeder. He attended Appleton area schools and graduated from Appleton Central High School. Earl served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On May 2, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Schultz in Greenville, Wisconsin.
Earl worked as a Trust Officer at Security First Bank in Sheboygan for many years. He then worked as a truck driver for Sheboygan Box Company. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, and taking his family camping and to the beach.
He is survived by his wife. Mary Ellen; his children, Paul (Polly) Schroeder, Fond du Lac, Thomas (Laura) Schroeder, Novi, MI, and Kristin Schroeder, Pewaukee; his grandchildren, Faith Schroeder, Menomonee Falls, Nathanael Schroeder, Rochester Hills, MI, Andrew Schroeder, Saginaw, MI, Caleb Schroeder, Saginaw, MI, Philip Schroeder, Novi, MI, Peter Schroeder, Novi, MI, Zachary Schroeder, Sioux City, IA, Allie Schroeder, Eau Claire, and Samuel Schroeder, Whitewater; his brother, Donald Schroeder, Oostburg; his sisters-in-law, Bernice Van Der Loop, Kaukauna, and Lynn (Robert) Spaulding, Black Creek, WI; and a brother-in-law, Gerald (Loretta) Schultz, Seymour, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Allen Schroeder; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Defferding, Caroline Schroeder, Barbara Herzfeld, Janice Schroeder; and a brother-in-law, Donald Schultz.
A memorial service for Earl will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2132 N. 27th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service. Inturment will take place in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
A memorial fund toward Calvary Lutheran Church has been established in his name.
