Frederick “Fred” Klauck, age 86 of Sheboygan passed away Wednesday October
5, 2022. Fred was born May 26, 1936, in Kiel to the late Walter and Edna
(Heckenlaible) Klauck. Fred was a graduate of Kiel High School, where he was an
accomplished three sport athlete. Following graduation Fred proudly served his
country in the U.S. Army. On August 16, 1956, he was united in marriage to
Shirley Nett at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. After his honorable
discharge in the U.S. Army, Fred was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a
supervisor until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of American Legion Post
#83 and served as the Financial Officer for many years. Upon his retirement, he
enjoyed delivering flowers for Ricks House of Flowers with his co-pilot Shirley.
Fred was a longtime member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and actively
served in many capacities, including CYO basketball coach, groundskeeping,
choir, and usher. He also enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, billiards and golfing at
Riverdale with the “Legends”, as well as, trips to Myrtle Beach and Casinos with
family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Shirley, children: Mark (Beth
Bertram) Klauck, Sue (Richard) Mohr, Michael Klauck, Karen (Daniel) Brady all
of Sheboygan, grandchildren Megan (Daryl) Platz, Jim (JoAnna) Mohr, Sarah
(Ben) Tajani, Hannah (Tony) Hamilton, Kim (Zach) Krall, William (Paytan) Brady
and Betsy (Ryan) Bubb and 11 great-grandchildren. Fred was further survived by
his brothers and sisters Thomas (Joanie) Klauck, Chuck (Gail) Klauck, Katherine
(Tom) Baker, David (Sue) Klauck and Margaret “Molly” (Steve) Eisold.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family funeral service will be held with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating and
VFW Post #9156 conducting military honors.
