Roy Roggentin, 91, passed away peacefully at Terrace Place on July 30. In 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Geraldyne Foell and was blessed with over 41 years of marriage before her death. He married Caroline Foch in 1994 and she passed away in 2018.
Roy had a strong faith, was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Adell and supporter of Lutheran (LCMS) education from pre-school thru college/seminary. He loved attending Bible classes at church, Sheboygan Lutheran High (LHS), and in private homes.
His career was in the ice cream business, advancing from lab tech to management for Golden Guernsey, Cedarburg Dairy, Kemps & Roundy’s. A Korean War veteran, the Corporal proudly served eight years in the Army. Today, 3 grandsons serve in the Army, Air Force, and Marines.
He is survived by his three daughters, Cheryl (Jack) Arends; Caryl (Rev. Paul) Spira; and Cindy (Frank) Laudolff; Step-children, Karen (Michael) Grust and Roy (Barbara) Foch. Six grandchildren, Melissa (Cedric) Rembert; Jamison (Melinda) Arends; Lizzy (Rev. Ted) Hoham; Rev. Ethan (Kim) Spira; Lee & Matthew Laudolff; 3 step-grandchildren, Christopher & Steven Grust; Tuesday (Brian) Loos; and 14 great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
A private burial has taken place. A memorial celebration will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Adell on Saturday, August 20, 2022 with visitation at 10am followed by the service at 11am.
In lieu of flowers/plants, memorials for Emmanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice are appreciated.
God bless the staff of Terrace Place for all the time, care, and compassion they showed our father over these past few years. Also, the HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital Hospice Team these last few weeks.
