Joan Rivera “Okie Dokie” or “The Cookie Lady”, age 88, passed away on July 29, 2022, at her
home in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by her family. She was born March 28, 1934, at St.
Josephs Hospital in Milwaukee. Joan was the oldest daughter of eight children to the late
Joseph and Irene (Arendt) Lesch.
She was employed at various places throughout her lifetime with some being at Krier Canning
Company, Wisconsin Plastics, Integrity Services, McDonalds, and Kohler Company, officially
retiring in 2020.
Joan’s favorite past time included baking, spending time with her family, rummaging, going to
Goodwill and going for a meal at Culver’s. She also had various collections of dolls and horses.
Joan is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Repphun, Russ (Karen) Korbol, Sparkie (Cookie)
Langlois, Craig Langlois; Pauline (Kevin) Fredericks, Lisa (Robert) Stobbe; 19 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn, Irene, Vivian, Louise and Don;
nieces, nephews other family and friends further survive. She will be deeply missed by all who
knew her.
Along with her parents, Joan was preceded in death by an infant son, Isodoro Rivera; daughters
Lonnie McCoy and Joanie Langlois and brothers, Eugene and Joe.
A Funeral Service for Joan will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Ballhorn Chapels
Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8 th St. in Sheboygan. The family will greet visitors at
the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. For those who would

website.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joan's name to either Sheboygan County
Humane Society or the Sheboygan County Cancer Fund.
The family would like to thank Tanya, Tamika, John, Dave, Tess and Jason at Aurora at Home
Hospice for the excellent care given to Joan. They would also like to thank the staff at Vince
Lombardi Cancer Clinic.
