Susanne “Sue” Neilitz, age 73, of Cascade, passed away peacefully at home where she was surrounded
by her loving family. She passed away on July 17, 2022, following a courageous 13 year battle with
breast cancer.
Sue was born on October 28, 1948, a daughter to the late Matthias and Violet (Luckow) Reinertson, and
graduated from Valders High School in 1966. Following high school, she graduated from Milwaukee
County General Hospital School of Nursing in 1969.
On July 18, 1970, she married the love of her life, Anton “Tony” Neilitz in Valders.
Sue worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years, working at Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Calumet
Memorial in Chilton, Valley View Medical Center in Plymouth, and Columbia St. Mary’s in Mequon. She
worked in OB helping deliver over 1,000 babies during her career. In addition to her long career in
nursing, Sue also was dedicated to raising her family and helping Tony with farming and running his
businesses – Tony’s Farm Equipment and Sheboygan Vac Sales and Services. Sue touched all who knew
her with her kindness, compassion, and care.
Sue enjoyed: Puzzles, Sudoku, traveling and camping, planting flowers, caring for her cat, Sheba, and
cheering on her Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, even when they weren’t winning! Sue was
always positive and optimistic. Most of all, Sue loved going to her grandchildren’s activities and
spending time with her family.
Survivors include: Her loving husband: Tony; Children: Brian (Erica) Neilitz of Cascade and Laurie (Chad)
Giles of Waldo; Grandchildren: Heaven Protsman, Connor Giles, Jackson Neilitz, Logan Giles, and Olivia
Giles; Brothers: Leonard (Lois) Reinertson and Russell (Karen) Reinertson; Sisters-in-law: Kathy (Charles)
Schwoerer, Shirley Williams, and Jean (Michael) Archilletti; Brothers-in-law: Richard (Naomi) Neilitz and
Jack Manlick; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents; Father and Mother-in-law: Raymond and Dorothy Neilitz;
and Brother-in-law: Ed Williams.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday (July 23, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Visitation will take place from 10:00am – 12:00pm with services to follow at 12:00pm. Rev. Richard
Bidinger from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade will officiate.

local breast cancer charity.
