Nobody was hurt, but damage was substantial in a fire in Sheboygan Falls on Monday afternoon.
Sheboygan Falls Police Chief Eric Miller said they got the call at about 2:30 to send the fire department to 121 Shelly Drive. The first arriving officers found an attached garage fully engulfed and its roof partially collapsed. The homes occupants had already evacuated safely.
Fire Departments from Sheboygan Falls, the Village of Kohler, Town of Sheboygan Falls and Cedar Grove put out the fire, but not before the home sustained moderate damage, and a neighboring house had cosmetic damage.
The investigation into the cause is underway, but a portable heater is suspected.
