The Wisconsin Realtors Association blames several factors for a general decline in the volume of Wisconsin home sales during September. They say the combination of flat income growth and 30-year mortgage rates now averaging 6.86% are behind a 5-1/2 percent decline in housing affordability over the past 12 months, slowing sales even as the volume of listings has risen.
The median price of a home in Sheboygan County was unchanged from August at $315,000 and Inventory also remained unchanged with a 3.9-month supply. While the number of home sales dropped 8-1/2 percent, Sheboygan County homes sold quicker with the average time on the market from listing to sale at 67 days, a drop of 5.6% since August.
