New data on the coronavirus pandemic in Sheboygan County remained unreported on Wednesday, as the county continues dealing with a processing delay that originated when the Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System was updated over the past weekend. 1,000 active cases were reported this past Monday, and while the County DPH had no new data, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services indicated that total case numbers to date were still increasing across the county. The County DPH will resume updates when issues at the state level are resolved.
The Disease Activity experienced in Sheboygan County between November 24th and December 7th as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Wednesday was considered “Very High”, a lesser level than last reported. The previous week the 14-day activity level here was considered “Critically High”. Currently the Burden is 851.1 cases per 100,000 persons, and the trajectory was up by 13%.
The Wisconsin DHS reports that 58% of Sheboygan County residents had received at least one dose of vaccine as of Wednesday, a total of 66,893 persons. That’s an increase of 136 since vaccination statistics were last reported from this past Friday. 55.4%, or 63,910, were fully vaccinated, an increase of 186 from Friday. 601 doses were administered in Sheboygan County during the week of November 28th.
