Seniors and those with disabilities will be assured of continued transportation services, thanks in part to grant moneys announced on Monday.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin DOT made the awards that total nearly $4 million to organizations across the state that provide basic mobility services. Those transit operations help people get to medical appointments, work, school and family regardless of where they live.
Sheboygan County was given two grant awards for 2022, one providing $26,061 for volunteer drivers, and $60,800 to replace one medium size bus that will serve seniors and the disabled throughout the county.
