Nancy Jane (Eckes) (Clark) Felch, age 74, of Sheboygan, died on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at St. Nicholas Hospital. She was born on October 2,1947 in Marshfield, WI, to the late Arthur Eckes and Leona (Boehning) Eckes.
Nancy was preceded in death by her late husband Marine Sargent Arleigh F. Felch. They were united in matrimony on 12-26-66 in Sheboygan, WI. Arleigh passed away on 8-5-67, DaNang Vietnam. Nancy’s sister Marlene Lapinski, nephews, Shawn Hogan, Ryan Hogan and brother-in-law Tom Richards.
Survivors include: Two sons, Richie A. Felch and Mitchell. G. Clark (Jennifer), and two grandchildren, Jonah, and Addison Clark. Nancy’s guardian angel and best friend Del Miller, two brothers, Darrel D. Eckes (Aloha) and Richard L. Eckes, two sisters, Diane (Tom) Richards and Kathy Hogan, nieces, and nephews.
She graduated from Random Lake High School, in 1965. After her husband passed away, Nancy and her son Richie moved to Vail Colorado where she worked as a nanny for two boys. They then moved to Denver Colorado where she worked as a counselor for teenagers and was a foster mother for a 16-year-old girl. She then moved to Wisconsin Rapids WI where she worked for the M&M Company, in Nekoosa, WI. She also worked at worked for Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids, for twelve years.
Nancy attended Community College in Wisconsin Rapids and received a degree in Business Administration and Personnel, graduating in 1989. Nancy graduated with honors.
Nancy moved to Napa Valley California where she worked as a co-manager at Redwood, a 104-bed assisted living facility. She then moved to Sheboygan WI where she worked at RCS, and a group home for the disabled. Nancy went to LTC in Manitowoc WI., where she received a certificate in Medical Coding. Nancy worked as an Independent Health Care contractor until she retired in 2006.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Adult Reading Center. Nancy enjoyed sports, especially softball and basketball, sewing, reading, and scrapbooking.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan, WI, at later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name. A special thank you to the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital for all the loving care they gave to Nancy. She was a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed.
