Susan Fox Linn, 61, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully with family beside her on Sunday morning,
November 21, 2021 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Sue was born on July 29, 1960 in Oconomowoc the oldest of seven children born to Bernard J. and the
late Donna G. (Stickler) Fox. She attended school in Sarona, WI, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School in
Spooner, WI and graduated from Spooner High School in 1978. She furthered her education at Viterbo
University in LaCrosse attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing. She started her career in the
cardiac department of St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, later moving to Lutheran Hospital in
LaCrosse. Following her marriage to William Linn on April 30, 1988 in Spooner she was a nurse at the
Spooner Community Hospital and when they moved to Sheboygan in 1990 was at the Plymouth Hospital
and at the time of her death the Aurora Sheboygan Clinic in OB-GYN. For a brief time she suspended her
career to be a full time mom to her three children, Becca, Alex and Rachel. She supported her children
in whatever road they took, soccer, cross country, softball, various musical instruments and their higher
education. She enjoyed family vacations and camping no matter the weather, she would always say we
are not home or working we are out together as a family and that is what is important. Her pastimes
were many, sewing, gardening, Sudoku or crossword puzzles. She will always be loved and remembered
as one of the most kind, selfless, fiercely strong people this world has seen. She will be dearly missed.
Sue was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan,
Sue is survived by her three children, Rebecca Linn of Ft. Myers, FL, Alexander Linn of Sheboygan and
Rachel Linn attending school in Lansing, MI; her husband, Bill; her father, Bernard Fox of Mauston; her
brothers and sisters, Daniel (Kim) Fox of Rice Lake, WI, Thomas (Patty) Fox of Shell Lake, WI, Louise
(Kent) Hebel of Westby, WI, Pamela (David) Doty of Houston, TX and Janet Fox (Travis Schnick) of River
Falls, WI. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives further survive. She was preceded in death by her
mother, Donna Fox, a brother, Patrick Fox and other family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7 PM on Friday, November 26 at St. Dominic Catholic
Church with Fr. Mark Brandl as celebrant. Burial will be next to her mother and brother in Calvary
Cemetery, Spooner. Family and friends may gather at the church, N. 21 st and Geele Ave, Sheboygan on
Friday evening from 4:30 pm until the time of Mass at 7 pm.
Sue’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff at Aurora
Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, which had been her home for the past three months, and Bay
Care Medical Center in Green Bay for the continual smiles, cheerful conversation, comfort and personal
care given to her. Also to her family for their visits and calls but especially to LuAnn, a nurse she worked
with, for her strength, care and wisdom visiting her and keeping her social calendar for those who
wanted to visit.
