Patricia Mertes

Patricia Ann Mertes, age 70, of Plymouth, passed away on November 7, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born in New York on December 8, 1950.
Patricia worked at Mayline, Kohl’s Dept. Store, and most recently at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial
Medical Center.
On June 16, 1983, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Mertes in Sheboygan. Bob preceded her
in death on July 29, 2017.
Patricia enjoyed camping, crafting, working the grilled cheese stand for the Plymouth Dirt Track races,
and loved getting together with her breakfast group on the weekends. She truly cherished the time with
her friends and family.
She is survived by: Children: TJ Mertes and Fran O’Brien (friend: Ozzie) both of Sheboygan Falls; Step-
daughter: Kimberly Mertes of Plymouth; Step-grandchildren: Kaylee and Carson; Brother-in-law: Jim
Mertes of Sheboygan Falls; and Sister-in-law: Betty (Jim) TenPas of Sheboygan Falls.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband; Father and Mother-in-law: Gilbert and Virginia Mertes; and
Brother-in-law: John Grothe.
A visitation to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on Friday (November 12, 2021) from 4:00-6:00PM at
the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Patricia’s name.
