Marian Warner, age 74, of Howards Grove passed away on November 2, 2021, surrounded by the ones
she loved.
She was born on December 12, 1946, in Sheboygan, to the late Herbert and Hazel (Arpke) Wickesberg.
She attended Franklin grade school and graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1965. On
January 25, 1969, Marian married Peter Warner at Immanuel United Church of Christ. Marian was a
faithful member of the church and taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a bank teller for
many years at State Bank of Howards Grove.
In her younger years, she was an athlete and played many sports. Marian was a kindhearted soul who
took care of anyone who walked through her door and was the neighborhood mom who would make
sure nobody left hungry. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining, traveling, listening to music and
had a great love for dogs. She was an amazing person and will be missed so deeply.
Ones she has left behind are her husband of 52 years, Peter; children, Jill (Jeremy) Wiegand, Tricia
(Donald Krier) Warner and Chris (Brenda Given) Warner; grandchildren, Avery Wiegand and Matthew
and Lukas Krier; a sister Jane Coombs; sisters-in-law, Karen and Helen Wickesberg; nieces, nephews,
other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents, Marian was preceded in death by brothers, Mark and Chuck Wickesberg; her
father and mother-in-law William and Dorothy Warner and a brother-in-law Rev. Raymond Coombs
A Memorial Service for Marian will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Zimmer
Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. in Howards Grove, with Rev. Jeannie
Douglas officiating. Family will greet visitors on Friday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 PM until the time
of the service. For those who would like to watch Marian's service virtually can do so on her obituary
page on the funeral home website. Marian will be laid to rest at the Immanuel UCC parish cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Marian's name to Immanuel United Church of Christ Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Haven Christian Communities, Plymouth Health Services
and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for the excellent care given to Marian. Your kindness
has been a comfort during this difficult time.
