Steven L. Tenpas, 68, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 25, 2021, at
Sharon Richardson Hospice. He was born October 25, 1953, to Lloyd and Marjorie (Berenschot) Tenpas.
Steve graduated from Cedar Grove High School with the class of 1971.
Steve had a love for driving. He spent many hours driving down the open road listening to his favorite
rock n’ roll songs from the 60’s and 70’s. He was a limo driver, who enjoyed safely transporting wedding
parties and kids to prom. A highlight of his career was meeting various sports and music celebrities such
as famous musician Alice Cooper.
Steve spent time volunteering at Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and especially found
joy in time spent at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Steve was also a great writer with pristine penmanship. He quite often turned his everyday thoughts
into letters and beautiful poetry.
Steve understood what it was to be a sinner in need of a savior. He knew that all his good works couldn’t
save him. He often spoke openly about his faith in Jesus Christ and his love for his friends and family. He
will be greatly missed.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Courtney (Ryan) Thorson, and granddaughter, Emery, of Rockford,
MN, mother, Marjorie Tenpas, his sister, Sue (Bill) Lorenz, and nephew, Erik Lorenz, all of Sheboygan,
and niece, Kelsey Lorenz, of Green Bay, along with many cousins and close friends. He is preceded in
death by his father, Lloyd Tenpas.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Steve Tenpas’ name.
A private family service will be held at a future date.
