Florence M. Genson, 97, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday November 2,
2021. Florence was born January 24, 1924, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, a daughter
to the late Carl and Alma (Etzkorn) Rammer. She was raised on the Rammer
family farm in the Town of Wilson. Florence studied accounting and was
employed by several local businesses including Prange Guisenheimer and
Leverenz Shoe.
On May 17, 1947, she was united in marriage to Cletus Genson at St. Peter Claver
Church, by the Rev. C. J. Hausner. Cletus preceded her in death on June 4, 1993.
Florence was a devoted wife and mother who excelled in keeping an organized
home for her family. Together with her husband Cletus she enjoyed many friends,
family, and acquaintances. She enjoyed music and dancing and was a self-taught
musician able to play guitar and harmonica simultaneously. Florence especially
enjoyed taking day trips with the neighbors and children to area lakes and
participating in various card clubs.
Florence is survived by three sons, Daniel (Linda) Genson, Fountain Hills,
Arizona; Thomas (Carol) Genson and Richard (Leticia) Genson, both of
Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Jon Genson, Carrie (Genson) Wiginton, Joshuah
Genson, Hannah Genson, and Noah Genson, and four great grandsons, Jon and
Robert Genson, and Hunter and Gunner Wiginton. She is also survived by many
nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by a son, Russell, in 1977,
and three brothers, Carl Jr. (Dickie), Gilbert, and Donald Rammer.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Reinbold-
Novak Funeral Home, 1535 South 12 th Street, Sheboygan from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at St. Peter Claver
Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12 th Street, Sheboygan from 9:30 a.m. until the time of
Mass. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at the
church, where Florence was a lifelong member. Fr. Paul Fliss will officiate.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
