A Sheboygan man is among 12 officers, along with 6 warrant officers receiving commissions during an October 16th ceremony at the Wisconsin National Guard’s 426th Regiment which houses the Wisconsin Military Academy.
2nd Lieutenant Amado Daruich-Camacho of Sheboygan completed a rigorous commissioning program through the Officer Candidate School and was assigned as a junior leader to the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry Regiment.
The oath of office was administered by Brigadier General Joane Mathews, Wisconsin’s deputy adjutant general for Army, who said the new officers stood out from their peers and rose to the top, which is why they were selected to become a leader in the organization.
