There’s an uneasy feeling at the Red Cross of Wisconsin as holiday season approaches. That’s because nationwide, the organization reports that blood supplies are the lowest they’ve been in over a decade, and once the holidays hit full gear, a seasonal drop in donations is expected.
Since declaring an emergency need for donors last month, thousands have come forward to donate. However going forward, another 10,000 more donations are needed each week in order to meet demands.
The Red Cross is offering an incentive tied to the new series, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, in which donors giving between November 1st and 12th are entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Hawaii where the series was filmed.
You can find details and make appointments to donate at RedCrossBlood.org, or check the list below for an upcoming blood drive near you.
