Beatrice Kraatz (nee Kuehl), age 94, was taken home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 9, 2021,
in Sheboygan, WI.
Beatrice was born on July 12, 1927, to Ervin and Rose (Steffen) Kuehl. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran
Grade School. In 1945, she graduated from Central High School.
Beatrice married Walter Kraatz, Jr. on August 6, 1949, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He
preceded her in death on October 25, 2013.
Beatrice sang with the Lutheran Chorus of Sheboygan. She worked at Bassett Beauty Shop before
becoming a full-time homemaker. Beatrice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
She was a member of the Finance Committee for 60 years.
Beatrice is survived by her three daughters, Barb Zittel of Sheboygan, Diane Torgerson of Oklahoma, and
Sandy (Rick) Duessing of Sheboygan; she is further survived by two grandchildren, Dominic and Emily
(Chance), both of Oklahoma; a great-granddaughter, Jade, of Oklahoma and a great-grandson, Max, of
Oklahoma.
Along with her parents and husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by a sister; twin infant brothers;
three sons-in-law, Hank Ray, and Ken. Other family and friends also preceded her.
A Funeral Service for Beatrice will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Trinity
Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., in Sheboygan, with Pastor Timothy Mech officiating. The family
will greet visitors on Thursday at CHURCH from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Beatrice will be
laid to rest next to Walter at Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Beatrice's name.
