Howard R. Babcock, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 8, 2021.
Born January 7, 1930 in Mosinee, WI, Howard was a son of the late Rubin and Marie Gebelein Babcock. He attended Mosinee area schools. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. On September 9, 1950, he was united in marriage to Lorraine M. Weis in Mosinee, WI. They were married for 62 years before Lorraine preceded him in death on April 14, 2013.
Howard worked for the Hayssen Manufacturing Company for many years until his retirement in 1992. He previously worked at Polar Ware and the Kohler Company. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved spending time maintaining his yard and garden. He considered himself an all around handyman.
He is survived by his two daughters, Connie M. Froh, Sheboygan Falls, and Debra (Jim) McWilliams, Sheboygan; his four grandchildren; and his nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Howard will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Chapel of Eternal Light, 6706 Superior Avenue in Kohler. Family and friends are welcome at the chapel on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
