James “Jimbo” John Martin II, age 55, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on
Friday, October 1, 2021, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Jimbo was born to James Martin and Honey Lee Layton on December 27, 1965, at
St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He attended Sheboygan South High School.
James worked several jobs over his lifetime, but he mainly worked as a
handyman.
Jimbo loved any sport that he could play or watch. He was an avid bowler and was
very skilled. He was known as an entertainer when he was pitching for his softball
games. Whether it was on or off the mound, he was always entertaining anyone
he was with. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and
the Brewers and Badgers. One of the more surprising things that Jimbo loved to
do was to bake.
Jimbo is survived by his mother, Honey Lee Layton; sisters, Paula Lehmann and
Lana Marie Lohse; nieces and nephews; great-niece and great-nephew, Corrin and
Corbin; and many other relatives and friends. Jimbo is also survived by his loving
cat, Biggs.
Jimbo was preceded in death by his father, James “Jumbo” Martin; uncle, Charlie
Martin; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Caroline Martin; and maternal
grandparents, Harold and Mary (Ives) Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Jimbo at a later date.
