It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret “Peggy”Ann Bulkow, of Oostburg, on June 18, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born on September 6, 1946 to the late Robert Sr. and Opal (Melville) Gothblad. Peggy was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Math. On June 17, 1972, she was united in marriage to Clarence Bulkow. Together they raised two sons, Ryan and Brad.
Peggy was a math teacher in the Sheboygan area prior to transitioning to her work for many years in the Aurora Medical business office, earning her well-deserved retirement in September 2011. Peggy was strong in her faith. She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the church food pantry, Quilting Club, and was a Council Board of Director, Secretary, and Treasurer. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was front and center at all of her grandkids sporting events, from hockey to volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Later in life, she and Clarence enjoyed taking bus trips across the country. Peggy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The world could use more people like Peggy.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Ryan (Heather Gauger) and Brad (Julie) Bulkow; grandchildren: Taylen, Brock, Benjamin, Margaret, Gabrielle, and Samantha; brother Robert (Bonny) Gothblad, Jr.; and sister-in-law Jane Fritsch. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Curry.
The family would like to thank Sharon Richardson Community Hospice for the wonderful care and comfort they provided to Peggy and her family.
A memorial service honoring Peggy’s life will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1019 N. 7th St. Sheboygan, on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Tyler Werner officiating. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan immediately following service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
