
Kim M. Jakum, age 60, of Elkhart Lake, passed away unexpectedly as a result of COVID-19 on September
17, 2021.
She was born in Sheboygan on May 10, 1961, a daughter to the late Richard and Sandra (Opitz) Reimer,
and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1979.
On August 31, 2006, she married William “Bill” Jakum. The couple has resided in Elkhart Lake since their
marriage.
Kim always had a creative mind which led her to making jewelry and starting her business, Kim Jakum
Designs. In addition to making jewelry, she also enjoyed: reading, listening to music, and going to Rock
concerts. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family, and had a special place in her heart
for her dog, Sam.
Survivors include: Her husband: Bill; Children: Kelley (Joe) Cure-Anderson of Montgomery, IL, Kyle Cure
of Sheboygan, and Bailey Klug of Elkhart Lake; Grandchildren: Hannah, Lucas, and Elizabeth Anderson;
Sister: Traci Devine of Plymouth; and Sisters-in-law: Laura (Gerald) Sonnenberg of Cascade and Lisa (Phil)
Sagal of Sheboygan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Following Kim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Woodlawn
Cemetery in Plymouth.
