Julie A. Wagy, age 55, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully at Plymouth Health Services on Monday
(September 20, 2021) after a long encounter with health issues.
She was born on March 24, 1966 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of Joyce (Hahn) and the late Elwood
“Woody” Neils.
Julie graduated from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School in 1984. After high school she attended LTC
and Fox Valley Technical College for the nursing program.
On April 5, 1996, she married Lawrence “Larry” E. Wagy in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on
September 10, 2005.
Julie worked various jobs until her health declined. She loved her animals, especially her cat Poppy. Julie
was artistic, enjoyed playing cards with her family, and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include her mother, Joyce Neils; two brothers, Rick Neils, Shawn (Katie) Neils; sister, Michelle
Pfeifer; brother-in-law: Jeff VerVelde; and two nephews, Andy (Rachel) VerVelde and Collin VerVelde
(Nick).
She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, and sister, Robin VerVelde.
Following Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at
Schleswig Cemetery in Rockville.
A memorial fund is being established in Julie’s name for the Humane Society.
