The 448 active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County are now the highest since February 1st this year when there were 457 active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County. A three-week decline followed that, but trends now in mid-September are slightly increasing. With 53 new positive tests and 32 recoveries, active cases on Wednesday increased by 21, and 15,170 have now battled the coronavirus. And for the day the positivity rate was 25%, with 210 test results reported. But when averaged over the last 7 days, CDC data indicates an 11% positivity rate.
At least one dose of vaccine has now been received by 54.4% of county residents, or 62,758 persons, 117 more than on Tuesday. 59,481, or 51.6%, are fully vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, 89 more than the day before.
